St Therese has recently undergone an extensive redevelopment of the Year 3 - 6 classrooms. This multi-million dollar project has transformed the 60+ year old building into a contemporary, functional learning environment comprising of two classrooms and a third breakout space for each of the 4 grades. Two meeting rooms, a school counsellor’s office and a number of other learning nooks (including a green screen) have also been developed, along with an elevator which will provide accessibility for all students and visitors.
The Lower Ground Floor was transformed into a state of the art Parish Centre comprising a reception area, Parish offices, a large meeting room and functional kitchen. This concept of the school and parish working within the same building is new for the Wollongong Diocese and an exciting opportunity for our St Therese community.
Recent improvements in our playground spaces, particularly for younger children, have been very exciting. Still to come is a whole new interactive, creative playspace which is currently in the process of being designed.
